My ROI

So last time that I wrote I told you an overview of what I would like to be involved in as far as the marketing and advertising aspect of business. I really believe in marketing and that is why my minor is in marketing. If people know how to brand themselves consistently and get their message out to the public. They are likely to have an increased success in their business from marketing.

I was speaking to a gentleman at a conference recently and he wanted to know what our ROI (return on investment) was that we measure from our company being here at the conference. We have no tool to input and follow up for the company I work for. Our company will see their ROI when our census grows by the lives, we have touched within the community from the connections we have made. But I did understand where he was coming from. A lot of people want to see on paper what they are getting back from either attending a conference or spending money on a marketing campaign.

So, thinking more about this I would like to be able to show clients how their money is being put back into their business through marketing. This could be done through a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program, which helps with streamlining relationships and increasing their profit. This would allow for the client to track and have hard evidence in front of them that continuously updates. I have talked to some people that work for businesses in our area and their marketers can’t do things that may be beneficial for the company because the owners don’t see the ROI on the money he is spending. He is not seeing it as an investment towards the company he only sees it as money going out.

Being involved in consulting for businesses is something that I am really interested in. Especially marketing consulting. Being able to have the tools and knowledge to go in and help a company that is in need to increase their profit to save their business. Helping someone that is just starting out to make solid decisions on how to expand their reach. Just talking about this gets my really fired up about the future! I can’t wait to help people make a difference in their business. I am currently investing in myself by going back to school that I know I will see a huge return in the future career!
